The various ensembles of the Collegium Musicum are open to students of the University of Bologna, as well as to students from Bologna's foreign universities and those taking part in Erasmus and Overseas projects.

The admission procedure for the various ensembles of the Collegium is described below:

• Choir Workshop and Choir

NEW AUDITIONS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2009/10

Auditions for the choir workshop and for the orchestra will be held at Collegium Musicum office, in via Zamboni 33 (stairs on the right, second floor), between 7th September and 7th October, with the following schedule:
- Mondays, 12.00 to 14.00
- Wednesday, 15 to 17

Those unable to attend for an audition on the set days may ask for another time by writing to:
collegiumunibo.it with the indication of name, telephone number and instrument played (for the orchestra).

Choir Workshop and Choir

The choir workshop for the academic year 2009/10 will start on 12 October 2009, and last until mid-January 2010. No particular skills are required to attend to the workshop as it is designed to accommodate those with no previous experience.

The workshop consists of two classes per week, from 18.00 to 19.30hrs: on Monday it will be held at Aula Absidale (via de' Chiari 25) and on Thursday at Aula della Specola, in via Zamboni 33, 3rd floor.

At the end of the workshop there will be auditions for those who are interested to join the main choirs. It is not possible to join the choir without having first attended the workshop.

Orchestra

If you wish to join the orchestra please come to our office with your instrument in the appointments indicated above. At the audition you will be asked to play two short pieces of your own choice, of different styles. If you are unable to come on these dates/hours, please send an e-mail to ask for an audition to: collegiumunibo.it and indicate your name, telephone number and instrument played.

Chamber Choir

This smaller ensemble is normally open to those who have already shown their reliability in the main choir and orchestra. When auditions for new members are held, notice is given on the page called comunicazioni ai soci and at rehearsals of the main choir.

Soloists

Solo singers interested in taking part in concerts with the choir and orchestra may request an audition by sending an e-mail to collegiumunibo.it. Please bring two short pieces to sing.
